Day Countdown
Last updated: September 27, 2026
Day Countdown ("this site") is a free countdown timer for holidays and custom dates. This policy explains what information is and isn't collected when you visit, and how advertising on this site works. This site does not require you to create an account, and it does not ask you to submit any personal information to use the countdown tool.
The countdown itself runs entirely in your browser. When you pick a holiday, add a custom countdown, reorder or hide a card, that information is processed and saved on your device (in your browser's local storage) and is not sent to or stored on any server run by this site.
Like most websites, the hosting service this site runs on (GitHub Pages) may automatically log standard technical information for every visit, such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This is routine web server activity and is not used by this site to identify individual visitors.
This site uses Google AdSense to display ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
Ads shown on this site may lead to third-party websites that are not controlled by or affiliated with this site. This privacy policy does not apply to those third-party sites, and we encourage you to review their own privacy policies before providing any information to them.
This site is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
This privacy policy may be updated occasionally to reflect changes to the site or applicable law. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date.
